Last month I purchased OPI's Last Friday Night which was released with the Katy Perry collection. Truthfully, the KP collection didn't impress me and for me was a huge let down. The only thing I was interested was the Black Shatter. Needless to say, I saw this at a local store here called Neoplaza and for $5 why not. LFN is a very sheer Jelly that gives just a hint of blue when applied to the nails. If you're looking for something similar to LFN but want the blue to stand out more try Sinful Colors Hottie.

Base Color: NYX Girls Hot Blue (see swatch HERE)

So if you don't already own Nubar 2010 then you are truly missing out on something amazing and you seriously need it in your collection. Actually, if you don't own a flake nail polish then you're missing out period. Anyone know any good jellies? I'm currently obsessed with jelly finishes!

Base color: Wet n Wild Nocturnal with Nubar 2010

Why does it feel like I've been gone forever? Don't worry, I've been taking pictures of my manis! This was from this past weekend. I decided to bust out my 3D bow that I got off of ebay in a set of 20 for about $2.00, not bad actually. I was inspired by Olivia's (Jerseylicioius, LOVE that show!) nails. She had posted a phone picture of one of her mani's and I loved the zebra with a gorgeous glittery gold base! I had to do it :)

Base Color - NYX Baby and Wet n Wild The Gold and The Beautiful (this color is pretty sheer and would take numerous coats, that's why I applied NYX Baby first)

So I just got finished editing and revamping my site so it screams girly and fun (I think I did a pretty good job). I still have some minor details to get to but other than that, all the big stuff are taken care of.

Credits will always be listed at the bottom but I thought I'd make a special post:
Original Template by Ipietoon(bows were provided in layout)
Spilt Nail polish for header and footer by Mily Vanish on Deviant Art

Besides that coding was rearranged by me, banner and everything else was by me using Photoshop.

Not my NOTD but just a little kick for this post :)

Since last nights late night doodling session I decided to do a full on mani. Again, I was inspired by spifster.

Pink (hot pink), OPI Fiercely Fiona (Yellow-Green), Sally Hansen Lacely Lilic, Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink (glitter over OPI That's Hot! Pink) and for all the intricate work I used Acrylic paint

Hey guys! I don't usually post this late or early, but I couldn't sleep and I was itching to get my creative juices flowing. Plus, all I was doing it humming Nicki Minaj songs in my head :P Anyways, I got up and did three designs(I actually did four but the first one I did was ugly lol).

I was inspired by spifster. If you haven't seen her blog then you must see it! Her nail art is amazing.

Hope you guys like it :D And hopefully I can catch some sleep now!

Yesterday I ATTEMPTED to do a Henna / Tribal inspired design but I don't think it worked out very nicely. Instead of using brown or white for the design I decided to carry it out with red, best nail art decision yet (I think).

Base Color: Savina Midnight (black) and Hard Candy Beetle.

During the month of May I did A LOT of hauling (a lot is an understatement) and swatching for you all. I use to use a simple cotton ball and acetone but it annoyed me when cotton ball residue would get stuck on my finger tips. I saw the Onxy Quick Remover at Wal Mart and decided to try it out. I loved it! It only took a couple second for it to get the polish off. Yes, I know the cotton ball and foil trick but this way there is not cotton ball stuck on my tips! Unfortunately, one down side is that it doesn't last very long, especially when you're doing multiple swatches daily like I am. I only got about 3 weeks use out of it before the acetone got horribly polluted with nail polish (would polluted be the right word?). Because I had desperatly fallen in love with this product I tried cleaning out the bottle of all the polluted acetone and poured in some acetone by CVS. It didn't work; nail polish would transfer on to the knuckles of my fingers and not leave a clean sweep like before. Not sure if it was because I didn't clean the bristles good enough or it rejected the acetone. Hm.

Needless to say this is the only nail polish remover product I used this month. And I would defiantly purchase it again.

Okay so I really wanted to show you some awesome stuff that I picked up this week, not only nail polish items. Hopefully you guys don't mind the slight change! Enjoy :)

Got this belt and Ross for $5.99 (orig. $18.00) and I fell in love with it! I'm not much of a belt person but this one I had to have! I thought it would look cute with the new floral dress I got at F21 two weeks ago. Just cinch it around my waist and I'm good to go!

Got some SpecktraFlair in a swap on MUA. SUPER excited to use it! Will most defiantly post some frankening pix when I use it!

I have this obsession with Peacock Feathers, Anchors and anything nautical themed. This week I decded to do a Peacock Feather, what's more girly? I love how it came out. I used my new Acrylic Paint set that you will soon see in my Haul post & video (maybe? ;))

Base Color(s): Color Club Gossip Column and L'Oreal Blue Marine (LE from Sumer Siren Collection)
Crackle Color: China Glaze Crushed Candy

On another note, in the beginning of last week I got my order from premiernailsource.com. I only ordered the China Glaze crackles and a new swatch nail board. I got all the CG crackles except the purple one, I wasn't really WOW'ed by it so I passed. Anyways here's my mani from last ;) And again, I used my new acrylic paint set :)

Base Color(s): Savina Midnight and Wet N Wild Night Prowl
Crackle Color: China Glaze Broken Hearted

P.S: Upcoming Post (already took and edited pixxx so keep on the lookout!)

The other day I stopped by my local Merle Norman and picked up both of OPI's Blue and Turquoise Shatter. I wasn't impressed with the Navy Shatter so I passed and I since already own China Glaze Lightening Bolt (haul pictures coming soon!) I passed on White Shatter as well.

Honestly, I was really disappointed with bother shatters. I literally tested both colors out on every type of nail polish finish. It doesn't crack on Glitters (even with Seche Vite), Holo's or a plain 'ol Creme Black (I used Savina Midnight). And to tell the truth the both shades of blues are gorgeous but finding a base color to use it time consuming! At the end I decided to do Zoya Layla with Blue shatter.

P.S. I took it off a hour later :P
